Steel Pines is a family-run, fully insured custom construction and sawmill company based in Edinburg, New York, founded by husband-and-wife team Mark and Darcie Burroughs. We build custom homes, renovations, barns, and outbuildings throughout Great Sacandaga Lake and the southern Adirondacks.

Where Steel Meets Pine
Steel Pines started in 2015 with a shared desire to slow things down, build something of our own, and spend more time working with our favorite material: wood.
The name comes from the meeting of two very different backgrounds.
Darcie spent eight years in New York City, including time as a Senior Editor at Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, building a career around production, project management, and bringing complicated ideas to life.
Mark grew up near the Adirondacks and spent as much time outdoors as he could. With more than 20 years of experience in construction, mechanics, and woodworking, he brings hands-on expertise across everything from structural framing and masonry to detailed finish work.
Steel and pine. Industrial and natural. Different backgrounds that turned out to work pretty well together.
